Every staff member—from the kitchen staff to the cabin counselors, from the lifeguards to the Camp Director—works hard to make CJ a home for every camper. In fact, many of our staff have been calling Camp Judaea home for years. CJ fosters such a strong loyalty among its campers that many of them return to camp as staff, to give back to the place that they feel gave them so much.

The CJ tsevet (staff) is comprised of individuals who have years of experience in summer camping, both as campers and as staff, and a desire and ability to work with children. They are highly skilled and motivated to work with Jewish children in our unique environment. They bring with them an understanding of young people, camping skills, and an outstanding Jewish and Zionist background.

Our tsevet (staff) receive extensive training during our week-long Staff Orientation. We are always seeking qualified college students and graduates for counseling positions, as well as support staff. In selecting the 100 staff members who will make CJ their home for the summer, we adhere to all standards set by the American Camp Association.
