Support Camp Judaea

Giving Opportunities

"You and I will change the world. Ani Veata neshane et haolam."

We sing this each evening at Camp Judaea during flagpole. We teach our campers and staff at Camp Judaea to grow into Jewish leaders, to have a love of Israel, to be proud of who they are and to recognize their enormous potential.

Support Camp Judaea and ensure that it remains a place that is “full of joy and laughter” and “a little bit of Israel in the Heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.” Camp Judaea relies on the philanthropic support of hundreds of individuals, families and organizations. Donations to Camp Judaea enable us expand our programs, provide scholarship to families in need and improve our facility.

Gifts to the Annual Fund/General Support and the Scholarship Fund may be designated as tribute gifts made in honor or in memory of a loved one, in celebration of an occasion, or as a mitzvah project by noting the tribute on the giving page. Acknowledgements and notifications will be sent to whomever the donor designates for these donations.

If you would like to set up a mitzvah project to benefit Camp Judaea, please contact Elana Pollack at 678-201-1543 or epollack@campjudaea.org.

Camp Judaea, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Annual Fund / General Support

Camp Judaea offers transformational summer experiences to over 650 campers and 125 staff members each summer in the only pluralist, Israel-focused summer camp in the Southeastern United States. Your donation to CJ’s annual fund will be used where it is most needed.

The annual fund supports recurring annual expenses such as operational costs, program support, and technology. Gifts to this fund allow staff members to say “yes” to innovative programs and hands-on learning experiences. Every gift adds up to create the Camp Judaea magical experience that is like no other.

Scholarship Fund

We believe that every child deserves an opportunity to go to camp. Approximately 20% of our campers receive financial assistance through the generosity of annual donations. Scholarships are offered to children whose families have financial need and children of parents serving in the military. These campers have expressed a desire to contribute to the Jewish community and demonstrated leadership potential. Financial assistance provides children with the opportunity to attend Camp Judaea regardless of their family’s economic status.

LET MY PEOPLE CAMPaign

Help to ensure that the CJ magic lives on for generations to come by adding your support to the LET MY PEOPLE CAMPaign. This campaign seeks to raise $5.7m to fund the renovation or replacement of key areas of camp. Our campers are already benefiting from the campaign’s new Chadar Ochel, five new cabins, and expanded Beit Knesset. With your support, there are even more planned improvements.

Your support is funding:

  • A new Chadar Ochel (Dining Hall)
  • Five new Tsrifim (Cabins)
  • CJ’s first-ever dedicated Mercaz Omanut (Arts Center)
  • An expanded Beit Knesset (Synagogue)

In addition, your support will provide seed funding for the purchase of adjacent land as it becomes available to ensure that CJ continues to be nature-centered and buffered from commercial developments.

Your gift will lay the foundation for our camp’s future. Pledges can be paid over five years and naming opportunities are available depending on gift size.
