Tuition Assistance
We understand that summer camp is a huge financial commitment. Camp Judaea is committed to working with our families to ensure that no child is turned away due to financial difficulties. Camp Judaea partners with Federations, One Happy Camper, and synagogues to provide scholarships for your children. In addition, CJ provides needs-based scholarships through the Camp Judaea Scholarship Fund. If you are in need of tuition assistance, please follow the steps listed below to help make the process easier and as smooth as possible.
We look forward to being partners with your family throughout this process and as we prepare for the upcoming summer. Please do not hesitate to be in touch with any specific questions or if you’d like us to walk your family through the process. We’re happy to help!
Tuition Assistance Steps
Step 1
Register for camp. We are unable to consider your application for scholarship until we have ensured that there is space for your child in the appropriate eda (age group) and session. A deposit is required for registration, and your family must be on a monthly payment plan.
Step 2
Determine what your family can afford to pay for CJ. Many applications for tuition assistance ask that you indicate a certain dollar amount; therefore, you need to figure out what you can contribute and how much assistance you will need.
Step 3
Apply to CJ’s funding partners: your local Jewish Federation, One Happy Camper, synagogue, Jewish Children and Family Services, and other local organizations. We have done extensive research on local opportunities and have compiled a list that you can find below.
Step 4
Once you have applied for scholarships through CJ’s partners you can apply for funds from Camp Judaea’s Scholarship Fund. Camp Judaea partners with FACTS to process scholarship applications. They securely handle the collection of your application, supporting documents, and validation of the information provided. FACTS charges a $45 fee per family. To receive a CJ scholarship, your family must be on a monthly payment plan paying for camp. Financial assistance allocations will be emailed out in late February.
Applications Open November 3, 2025
If you have questions or concerns about your CJ scholarship application, you may contact Gayle Kaplan at 404-634-7883 or gayle@campjudaea.org.
If you have questions or concerns about the application process, you may speak with a FACTS Customer Care Representative at 866-441-4637.
*The submission deadline for Camp Judaea’s Scholarship Fund applications is February 2, 2026.
