Gesher Counselor Cohort

Our Gesher Counselor Cohort is designed for rising 12th graders who intend to work at Camp Judaea upon their graduation from high school. During the program, counselors will live in-bunk and learn the ins-and-outs of how to become an exceptional staff member. Gesher staff members will engage in leadership development training, Israel education programming, and social activities. Cohort staff will have a Gesher Coordinator as a mentor for guidance, training, and support. Our goal is to provide the cohort with the experience and confidence that they need to be leaders amongst the Camp Judaea staff summer after summer.

Gesher staff members of the first session cohort will have the opportunity to travel to Israel on Young Judaea’s Gesher Israel program, an exciting three and a half week summer Israel trip. You’ll see all the top sites and much more while you spend time in Israel’s most famous places as well as those off the beaten path learning about their historical and modern significance while traveling alongside Jewish friends. For more information on Gesher Israel click here.

Gesher staff members not participating in the Israel trip are eligible to work at Camp Judaea both sessions for the full summer or second session only.

First session priority is given to Gesher counselors who attend the Young Judaea Gesher Israel Trip during CJ’s second session.
