Positions at Camp

BUNK STAFF

Our amazing Tzevet (staff) who live in bunks with our campers have the most direct influence on the camper’s summer experiences. Involved in every aspect of camp life, counselors strive to provide for the campers the best that camp has to offer. Most importantly, counselors serve as responsible, mature role-models in a Jewish, Israel-loving environment! All of our staff double as program counselors. While working in a program department, the staff offer campers the chance to develop new skills and talents within their assigned departments. See below on specific department/position information.

SUPERVISORY STAFF

Department Supervisors are members of Camp Judaea’s leadership team and are responsible for running the day-to-day program within their department. Supervisors support and manage a team of staff whose primary responsibility is the safety and supervision of campers in an activity area. Additionally, department supervisors are innovative programmers and educators with excellent communication skills.

Merakzim (Unit Heads) are members of Camp Judaea’s leadership team and take charge of the well-being of the campers and counselors alike. They hold the Eda (age group) together and also oversee the educational program for their own campers for the summer. Merakzim are innovative programmers and educators with excellent communication skills, including communication with our camp parents.
