Dear Camp Judaea Community,
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of The Marcus Foundation, this week, Camp Judaea opened a brand-new six-cabin village!
This newest village sits up the hill adjacent to Deborah’s Village and features six state-of the-art cabins built with our campers and staff in mind. These new cabins will continue to enhance comfort, strengthen community, and support the kind of joyful, immersive Jewish experiences that define Camp Judaea’s values and commitment to excellence.
This gift arrives at a meaningful moment. As we continue to rebuild our campus following Hurricane Helene, this cabin village advances our Master Plan and ensures that CJ remains a vibrant home for generations of campers to come.
We are profoundly grateful to The Marcus Foundation for their lead gift and support, as well as the Foundation for Jewish Camp and The Gottesman Fund for their belief in our mission and shared commitment to Jewish camp experiences across North America. This village is a reflection of what is possible when a community invests in something it loves.
“At a time of rebuilding and renewal, Camp Judaea continues to show how immersive Jewish camp experiences help inspire lifelong Jewish identity, leadership, and community. We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Camp Judaea as we watch more and more kids become inspired in their Jewish journeys.” — Yoni Kaiser-Blueth, The Marcus Foundation
These aren’t just new buildings; they’re the next chapter of what it means to come home to camp. We cannot wait for the moment this summer when campers drop their duffel bags on a bunk in one of these new cabins, look around, and realize that Camp Judaea is their place. That moment is what all of this is for.
With gratitude and Full of Joy and Laughter,
The CJ Team
Help Choose the Theme for Our New Village!
Every village at Camp Judaea carries a Hebrew theme; letters of the Aleph Bet, cities of Israel, the names of flowers. Now our newest village is ready for its theme, and we want your ideas! Send us your ideas at info@campjudaea.org or comment on our Facebook and Instagram posts!
In May, alumni and friends gathered for a weekend full of joy and laughter to celebrate Camp Judaea’s 65th anniversary. Before Kabbalat Shabbat, we came together for a ribbon cutting of The New Village.
On First Session Opening Day this week, campers moved into The New Village and brought it to life!
