Thanks for a fabulous First Session!

Thanks for a fabulous First Session!

Shabbat Shalom!

Check out the 4th week edition of CJ News by clicking here.

The session has come and gone so quickly! Our Staff treasures each and every happy memory from the past four weeks.  From a camper’s 1st time down the zipline to a late-night kitchen raid, we hope your children shared all the excitement of the summer with you. This last week zoomed by starting with Bikkurim (color war) and ending with our Purim Masquerade Banquet.  We are so thankful to all of our first session campers for their conservation efforts and learning this past session.  To show our thanks we are collaborating with the National Forest Foundation to plant a tree for each camp family attending first session.  These beautiful trees will offset the estimated carbon footprint of our campers travel to camp this past session.

Our merakzim (supervisors) and staff already miss their chanichim (campers) and wanted to share some of their parting thoughts with all of you:

Rishonim:

We can’t believe an entire session has passed! This summer has been absolutely perfect and we have all the parents and their adorable Rishonim campers to thank for that. I hope this summer was as incredible for you as it was for all of us. See you in Offarim!

Offarim:

We are sad to see our Offie campers leave but happy that they left with a summer full of joy, laughter, and memories. From our first eda meeting, peulot eda, day trips, overnight, and bikkurim to our last Offie-nut cheer in the Chadar Ohel, we know our campers had an amazing experience at CJ this summer. We are very grateful to our campers for their energy, excitement, and courage. Have a great year and we’ll see you next summer!

Oranim:

Our Oranim campers definitely left their mark in Camp Judaea after incredible weeks of building friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. To end the session we worked on our service project, learned about Lag B’Omer, and had a beautiful and memorable last Shabbat. It was great to see Oranim come together and feel so passionate toward our home here in CJ. We can’t wait to see you all next summer in Sayarim.

Sayarim:

The Sayarim eda had such an amazing session filled with new friendships, experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime! I hope your children learned many new things about conservation, Israel, themselves, and being a hero in their community. See you next summer in Tsofim!

Tsofim:

Our session here at camp ended filled with laughs, smiles, tears, and incredible amounts of joy. Our eda got along so well and each of us was able to grow as people, Jews, and as Zionists.  I hope all of your children had as much fun as I did here at CJ this summer. See you next summer!

Kesher:

Wow this session has really gone by quickly. Already most of you are reading this letter in the comfort of your own home while your children regale you about all of their experiences, from the bikkurim cheers they screamed, or even the small little jokes within the cabin. This summer has truly been life changing for many of our chanichim. I hope you know that it has been a pleasure watching your children grow through these amazing experiences, and I hope they remember their Kesher summer for the rest of their lives.

Bogrim:

After a session full of great memories, new experiences, and friendships that will last a life time, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Bogrim 2014. We are so proud of all of the growth, maturity, and kindness that Bogrim 2014 has left behind as their legacy. We look forward to their continuation at Camp Judaea in Chalutzim and at Camp Tel Yehudah for Yachad, We wish all of our Bogrim families a year full of happiness and adventure! Achim, Simcha, Bogrim!

As we light the Shabbat candles tonight, we think of all of the 1st session campers we will miss. We will think of all of the memories shared, and moments made.

Shabbat Shalom!
